Pushing the boundaries of business

The Department of Management at the London School of Economics offers a different approach to business education –
with truly multidisciplinary learning giving students an in-depth understanding of the real social, political and economic context of business. While LSE
is a globally recognised institution, the department had a tendency to fall beneath the radar. Playing on the iconic LSE red square coupled with thought provoking messaging, a targeted digital campaign was used to raise awareness and ensure that the brand hit its mark – intelligent, inquisitive, free thinkers.

The digital campaign delivered significantly higher than average click-through rates. The industry average was 0.03% – across all display and mobile ads, this campaign is averaged 3.47%, peaking at 5.9%. There was also evidence of incredibly strong recall and unprompted awareness, demonstrated by the high amount of post-view activity happening on the department pages of the LSE site. With 71% of this activity coming from people who have seen the campaign and then visited at a later date.
